Faith and Andy | Chateau Élan Wedding
Faith and Andy had an elegant wedding at Chateau Élan Winery and Resort that juxtaposed tradition. I felt so honored to be able to share in their special day, and they made my job a lot of fun. They are such a kind and friendly couple, and left feeling that I had made two new friends. Faith has three children, and the love and acceptance between all of them made it evident that this was not just a marriage between two people, but a family coming together. There ceremony was so beautifully poignant that I teared up behind the lens, especially as they shared their hearts through the vows they wrote themselves. Faith shared how she thought she would never marry again, but Andy changed her heart. And Faith’s son, Judah, confessed that he didn’t like Andy much at first, but it was obvious that that was clearly the opposite now (there is a photo of Judah on Andy’s back further down). It was a genuine, yet eloquent ceremony.
The weather was a perfectly warm, sunny March day and Chateau Élan was lovely. The winery and resort is located just north of Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia (about half an hour from Athens). They have vineyards, a beautiful inn and spa, delicious food, and the staff was incredibly gracious and helpful. I have had the pleasure of enjoying a few special occasions there over the years, and it is always a wonderful time.
And, I just loved the pink and grey Converse shoes worn by the entire bridal party…
